I had a tiny shock today most of my order from AA won't come to Iceland since it isn't sold wholesale...well no one told me but maybe I should have figured they didn't sell everything wholesale:S

But I think it will be ok...I hope it will!

If not I'll be in Thailand in a year...without worries lying on the beach of Phi Phi Islands...mmmm

Yesterday I finished a painting I thought I would never finish, but luckily I did 'cause I love it. As usual no "artsy fartsy" stuff from me although I love it when others get "artsy fartsy" I kinda feel embarrassed and pretentious when I try to be:S

My cat has little kittens in her belly...yay! I love kittens, well who doesn't?

My cat got arrested yesterday:S She went into some other womans apartment through the window and the woman called the police. The police decided to let her go with a warning though...true story!

I'm gonna try and brush up my English today and call some travel agency's in the UK and see what they have to offer..I'm kinda nervous because I have this massive cold and sound like some weird person..:S My voice is not the best beforehand.

I'm half-way through with one large painting I hate how much time this takes!! But I've been knitting in between and of course working 10 hours a day:S I'm hoping that I can finish al the paintings I've started before the month ends!

I'm feeling kinda blue today...I don't know why though everything is the same as yesterday but still it is somehow different.

I'm looking forward to Thursday though! It's the first day of summer then here in Iceland so I'll have the day off...and the snow is slowly fading away and most days it is sunny although it is cold...so I think it will be nice having the day off.

And then next week I'm starting the first part of my summer vacation! This is my first summer vacation since I was twelve so I'm pretty excited! Ever since I was twelve I've always worked over the summer.

Right now I'm looking at holiday spots and where to travel and what not in Asia mainly Thailand though...and I'm getting all excited about going there...I'll be there in a year!

I'm trying to stay positive and just let the time fly untill december but it's kinda hard when you have a job like mine. It's boring as hell, I have no say at doing anything and I work 10 hours a day 5 days a week and every other weekend I work 6 hours on Saturdays. I hate it:(

I'm back from Reykjavík!!! Yay!! Not that I love being back I'm just glad that the drive is over...it's kinda funny though it always takes me exactly 4 hours and 20 minutes to drive not a minute longer or shorter...

I didn't do a lot over the weekend. I kinda just slept in bought myself a jacket for the summer, fixed some hoodies that weren't right and then I went to see a play that my best friend is in. I'm going back to Reykjavík on May 1st...our labor day and then I'm going to get something more done! But right now I have absolutely nothing to say so I'm not gonna bore you with my plans for any longer!

Does anyone need some glasses?

I got some new glasses in the mail yesterday...I know I'm always getting something in the mail! I just lovelovelove shopping online!

So for self portrait thursday of course I took some pictures of me with the new glasses!!

I bought both of these for 70 dollars which is really cheap compared to Iceland at least. Here you buy prescription glasses for 800 bucks!

So anyways I'm going to Reykjavík FINALLY tomorrow and I'm going to have some of the shots for my trip next monday....all together they will cost 700$. That is so much I thought they would be more around 300$ or something!! But oh well, I will do anything for this trip! We have started to plan our trip a bit and I'm hoping that Andre my friend from Brooks will be in NY over Christmas so he can show us around for one day or something...but if he can't we'll just do it our selves:)

Today me and my friend sat down and did a rough plan of the trip we will be starting in December this year

Start point: Keflavík Airport in Iceland!!

New York, USA
Lima, Peru

Then we will walk, crawl, take buses and trains through...

Bolivia
Paraguay
Brazil
Argentina
Chile

From Santiago Chile we will fly to

Auckland, New Zealand
Cairns, Australia

From Cairns we will drive to Alice Springs and then To Darwin. Then we will leave Australia to take a ferry to Bali!!! From Bali we will fly to

Singapore...then we will travel by land pretty far. Through Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Bangkok, Ho Chi Mihn and our final city by land will be Hanoi, Vietnam. From there we will fly to

Manila, Philippines
Beijing, China
Calcutta, India

From Calcutta we will travel to Nepal by land and then back into India. Our final city in India will be Mumbai and from there we will fly to

Cairo, Egypt

and then we will travel by land through Jordan, Syria and Turkey. Finally from Turkey we will fly to

Frankfurt, Germany
Keflavík, Iceland

YAY!! I'm so glad we finally did this now we can start booking those suckers! What do you think? Great, yeeees ?

And another yay!! I received my business cards in the mail today...they look awesome!

The third yay is for http://lobe.etsy.com . I received the items I ordered from her last Wednesday today!! Ho cool is that?!!? I'm still waiting for some items I ordered from USA a few weeks back though:S Hope they arrive sooooon. I blame it all on the mail and my stupid isolated country though:)

Dress

I've been knitting this dress forever I think. Or at least for a month;) And what I've gotten so far wont even cover my ass!! It will probably taka a year to finish and then it will have gone out of style:) I'll probably give it to my daughter (if I'll ever have one) when it goes back into style...Oh well...

I decided to have a quiet weekend this weekend and I love it!! I went out for Thai food and rented a DVD with my friend on friday and that was great but the rest of the weekend I've just been painting and knitting and hanging indoors:) There is still snow outside you see and the weather forecast says there will be more!! Will there ever be summer!!!

Anyways looking forward to going to Reykjavík to see all my friends on friday...not looking forward to driving though I hate driving alone in my small car:) Fortunately my mom will be with me on the drive back yay!! I love my mom:)

It is so funny or maybe sad how people in general have it programmed into their head that to be happy they have to find a mate. Someone to spend their life with and to depend on.

I'm not saying that I don't have this need I do, I really do. But I guess my program is broken or something. Instead of just saying: "find a mate" my program rarely says anything and when it does it is: "find a perfect mate for you" or "he's not perfect!!" or "his left nostril is slightly smaller then the right one...dump him!". Yes I am crazy like that.

Also I am just so carefree about finding me a guy to spend my life with. I always think that if there is a Mr. Right he will show up and I don't have to work for it or anything. If it is destined to be he will find me or I will find him! The sad thing is that I can't really be that carefree because I'm soooo insecure that even tough I would KNOW who Mr. Right for me is I could never act on it I have never hit on a guy and I can never hold eye contact if someone is trying to get my attention. If a guy is brave enough to approach me after I have just ignored their stare they get shot down immediately by snotty comments and then me walking away because I'm so nervous:) How stupid is that....

My mom who is 46 years old is still single and always has been, that is she has never been married of course she has had boyfriends and such:) She said to me the other day that she had been just like me...that is she was that carefree thinking that Mr. Right would just sow up and confront her when HE would find her. Her mom made a comment about that when she was younger saying that if she continued being that carefree all the good guys would be taken when she would be ready to go after them, and my grandma turned out to be right!!

This makes me worry a little...

but I would rather be alone then being with just someone just because I was worried I wouldn't find anyone better!
